To pick up the license, at least one of you must appear in person at least 48 hours before the ceremony with the information listed above. the License is good for 6 months.

If you are out of state or out of Carroll County, you may go to any marriage clerk office and ask for a "Foreign Application" form. Fill it out in front of the clerk and have them sign it. Then bring the form to the Carroll County office or have their office send it to the Carroll County office. Then you can pick up your license in Carroll County. I suggest that you call to be sure that they received it and everything is in order.
If you are military, you may go to the clerks office the same day you wish to get married, fill out the form, have the judge sign it and receive your license. The judge can wave the 48 hour waiting period.
Officiants
If you do not already have an officiant, you will need to be finding someone you respect that is available for your date.
Many offer premarital counseling. I hope you will take advantage of this service. Learning to communicate is so essential in a good marriage.

You probably already know we have great rehearsal dinners here and this will give you more time to decorate for your day. .

Accommadations
Many times the women of the bridal party stay the night before the wedding and get ready here. This gives more time for decorating and less running around on your wedding day.
I can also provide a deli tray and drinks (iced tea and sodas) for lunch the day of the wedding.
The less you have to do and can stay in one place, the less stressed you will be.
I can also provide accommodations for your special guests the night before and the Night of the Wedding and a brunch the following morning after the wedding.
I much rather have the entire Inn filled with your special people.

I will be happy to supply a list upon request.
Bridal Party Guests
Your wedding guests will need to make their own reservations and confirm with a credit card. Rooms held for wedding guests are considered non cancellation reservations with no refund.
Wedding Cake
Ask the caterer if he will provide this.
You can also pick up several cakes from the grocery store and display them on my circular stand for a lovely effect. This can save a whole lot. Some brides also pick up cheesecake and cookies from the store as an extra offering.
The bride and groom cut the first cut for photos.
The caterer will continue to cut the cake and serve it after the first cut.
This is usually done after the meal and toast.
Garter - Bouquet Tossing - is this a tradition you wish to do?
Are there any delicate situations?
Parents, step parents, handicap, elderly
These should be discussed
Bring a change of shoes for those tired feet. New shoes hurt!
Barefeet are not allowed.
Who is responsible for returning all the tux? Have the wedding party bring a change of clothes for after the wedding so that everything gets returned and there will not be any late fees.

Assign someone responsible to collect the gifts following the ceremony.
Children
If you have children, bring something for them to do and someone to watch them. My staff are not babysitters.

First things First
Make up your guest list - 2 to 74 people - & pick your wedding date.
Make an appointment to come see the Yellow Turtle Inn .
If you book your wedding within two weeks of our meeting,
you will receive a complimentary whirlpool suite for your "first night".
Put down a non refundable deposit of $300 to hold your date.
Next, I will email you an information and pricing worksheet for you to fill out and email back to me

Wedding Tour Appointments
I make appointments to tour the Inn
on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday
from noon to 8PM
Please do not "just drop in".
Please arrive on time.
I set aside enough time for you so that you may ask all your questions.
If for some reason you are delayed or cannot make your appointment,
please call and let me know. I allow a window waiting time of 15 minutes.
I appreciate it when you turn off your cell phones before our meeting.
